How long is the walk in to the boat ride on western brook pond
Probably 30-40 minutes
Hi, I am planning to visit Gros Morne National Park this August and stay there for about 2 weeks. I will be coming in a truck camper and towing a 22.5’ feet fishing boat. Is there any fishing and launching facilities within the park. Thank you.

Is there Designated camp spots throughout the park or can you set up more or less whever you want? Im looki g for back country camping and not a camp ground.

Is Bonne bay marine aquarium pet friendly for a small dog like chihuahua.?
I don't believe they allow pets inside.
When does the park open
The park is always open. The Visitor centre at Rocky Harbour opens at 8.00 am and the discovery centre at Bonne Bay at 9.00 am. You can buy tickets there and there are ticket boots at most of the entrances

The restaurant is a local favorite and people from neighboring towns and cities make the trip to taste the delicious food. the menu is quite extensive and they make it clear that they will not be rushed. So the food quality is good for the most part. Be prepared to sit on the patio as spots inside fill out quick. But the patio offers fresh sea air from the bay to enjoy with your meal.

Had the Halibut special today, wasn't expecting such a large pice of fish and I gotta say, it was amazing. My husband had the fish and chips, he said the batter had an excellent flavor to it. Good prices, friendly staff, would definitely go back again

Popular place with friendly staff. Open until 9pm which is later than a lot of places around town. Large menu but wish there were more vegetarian options

Delicious moose burger! Never had moose meat before but was great. My husband got the scallops which were very good as well.

Amazing ice cream bar, the rest of it is over rather heavily. If you want good food in gros morne go to trout river, all the places in rocky harbour are tourist traps. Will be back for ice cream and thats it
